The guarantee includes a replacement provision for specific genetic conditions such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), and Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKdef). If any of these covered conditions are detected within the specified timeframe, Pine Paw Cattery will offer a comparable replacement kitten at no cost.

Additionally, there is a provision for hip dysplasia treatment before the cat’s third birthday. In case surgical treatment is required due to hip dysplasia, Pine Paw Cattery provides a R1000 allowance towards the expenses incurred.

Furthermore, in rare instances where Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) leads to loss within the first year after adoption, another kitten can be provided at no charge. The 42-hour treatable condition reimbursement provision ensures coverage if minor health problems are discovered shortly after adoption upon examination by an accredited veterinarian.

While preventive care like vaccines and repeat laboratory testing isn’t included in this limited guarantee; it emphasises prompt veterinary checks post-adoption.
It’s important to note that feline immunodeficiency virus(FIV)and feline leukemia virus(FeLV)are excluded from coverage since they’re preventable through maintaining indoor-only living arrangements.

Despite all precautions taken by breeders like Pine Paw Cattery against potential hereditary issues or congenital disorders inherited pre-birth – uncertainties still exist. This underscores Trupanion pet insurance being recommended beyond its initial trial period -as it specifically covers hereditary ailments common among  cats & never imposes payout limits on reimbursements ensuring optimal care when needed most

Your kitten will have received vaccinations appropriate for their age at the time of purchase. We will provide a record of these vaccinations and recommend that you continue the vaccination schedule with your chosen veterinarian.

If a licensed veterinarian determines within 3 years that your kitten has a medical issue due to a pre-existing condition not caused by the new environment, Pine Paw Cattery will accept the return of the kitten and offer a replacement or refund at your discretion.
